POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS, RECOVER LOCALLY MADE PISTOL DURING THIRD-PARTY INSURANCE ENFORCEMENT IN KOGI STATE
In line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, on the enforcement of Third-Party Insurance across the Federation, operatives of the Ayingba Division, while conducting the exercise along Harbour Bay-EGUME Road, intercepted two young men identified as Mohammed Chelim and Oneh Mohammed both of Olubojo street on a motorcycle who exhibited suspicious behavior.
Upon interrogation, the suspects failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for their movements. A subsequent search led to the recovery of a locally made pistol in their possession.
Commending the Officers for their vigilance and commitment to duty, the Commissioner of Police, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc, reassured the people of Kogi State that the Command remains resolute in collaborating with other security agencies to rid the State of criminal elements. He further urged residents to continue supporting security efforts by providing credible information on criminal activities.
