2027 STATE ASSEMBLY ASPIRANTS FORUM APPOINTS COORDINATOR, OTHERS TO MOBILISE SUPPORT FOR TINUBU, ODODO
The 2027 Kogi State Assembly Aspirants Forum has appointed Hon. Hajia Fatima Bukky Nasiru from Kogi West as its pioneer coordinator and Hon. Khadijat Obaro from Kogi Central as Secretary, to coordinate the affairs of the newly adopted forum and spearhead its mobilisation, canvassing and campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The appointments were announced during a meeting of the forum held at the Museum Centre, NUJ Secretariat Road, Lokoja on 31st August, 2026
In their respective remarks, the newly appointed officials pledged their commitment to the objectives of the forum and expressed their determination to mobilise support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
They said their support for the two leaders was based on what they described as their remarkable achievements and developmental strides at both the national and state levels.
The forum described President Tinubu as a visionary leader whose administration, according to them, has taken bold steps to transform the national economy and create a positive impact on the lives of Nigerians.
The members also commended Governor Ododo for his efforts in advancing development across Kogi State, promising to support his administration and campaign for his continued political relevance.
In addition to the coordinator and secretary, eight other members were appointed to various positions within the forum. The positions include Deputy Coordinator from Kogi East, Organising Secretary, Welfare Officer, Public Relations Officers I and II, Media and Publicity Officer, Treasurer, among others.
Members of the forum further pledged their support and commitment to its activities, while encouraging more female political aspirants, particularly those preparing for the 2027 elections, to join the platform.
They said the forum would provide an avenue for women to work together, strengthen their political participation and create a platform for future political opportunities and references.
