In a heartwarming display of community leadership, some women from Aiyegunle Gbede community visited the CEO of OJN foundation and the Senior Special Adviser to Kogi state governor, on youth and student matters Oladele John Nihi at is residence in Lokoja.

The purpose of the courtesy visits is to promote civic participation and encourage community members to exercise their right to vote.

While addressing the women, Oladele emphasized the importance of participating in the ongoing voter registration exercise, urging the women to encourage community members to relocate their voter cards to Aiyegunle Gbede.

He, stressed, this would enable residents to vote in local elections and have a greater say in community decisions.

Oladele also encouraged the women to support young people who have reached voting age in registering to vote. “By doing so, the community can ensure that its voices are heard and represented in local governance.”

” In the the past seven days I have been able to register over 900 people, let us all help the young ones that are of age”

He expressed gratitude to the women of Aiyegunle Gbede for their warm reception and engagement.

The event highlighted the power of community collaboration and the impact that can be made when individuals come together to promote positive change.

Oladele hail the initiative of the women to pay such visit. He said “such gestures will enable leaders to empower residents to take an active role in shaping their community’s future.

He admeonished people of Aiyegunle Gbede to cultivate the culture of working together, to create a brighter, and more prosperous future for themselves and future generations.
