CITY BOYS MOVEMENT BRIEFS KOGI SGS, DR FOLASHADE AYOADE, ON PROGRESS, TOWN HALL AND STATE INAUGURATION

The City Boys Movement, Kogi State, has paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Dr Folashade Ayoade, who is also the Matron of the movement, to brief her on its progress and update her on its planned activities, including an upcoming town hall meeting and the state inauguration of the movement.
The delegation, led by the State Director of the City Boys Movement, Mark Ogah, used the visit to formally present updates on the growth and activities of the group, as well as its preparations for the forthcoming programmes.
The movement is scheduled to hold its town hall meeting on September 19, 2026, at the Government Glass House, Government House, Lokoja.
Speaking during the visit, the State Director, Mark Ogah, appreciated Dr Ayoade for her continued support and guidance as the Matron of the City Boys Movement.
Ogah said the group remained grateful for her acceptance of the role and her consistent encouragement, noting that the movement had no regrets having her as its Matron.
He also commended Dr Ayoade for her commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), as well as her support for the party’s leadership and members.
According to him, the movement has continued to value her motherly disposition, accessibility and willingness to encourage and support people who come across her path.
Ogah described her guidance as important to the growth of the movement, particularly as it expands its activities and mobilises men and women across Kogi State.
The State Director further commended Dr Ayoade for her role in supporting the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and promoting the interests of the party and the people of Kogi State.
Responding, Dr Folashade Ayoade appreciated the leadership and members of the City Boys Movement for keeping her informed about the progress and activities of the group.
She expressed delight at the growth of the movement, saying its success remains a source of joy to her.
The SGS encouraged the youths to remain organised, peaceful and focused, stressing the importance of responsible youth participation in politics and governance.
Dr Ayoade also assured the movement of her continued support and encouragement as it carries out its programmes and expands its activities across the state.
The City Boys Movement reaffirmed its commitment to mobilising all eligible voters and canvassing support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group said the planned town hall meeting and state inauguration would provide further opportunities to strengthen its structure, engage young people and communicate its political objectives across Kogi State.
The City Boys Movement is an APC support group focused on mobilising support for President Tinubu and Governor Ododo and working towards their re-election in 2027.
