Local Government workers in Kogi State have declared total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The workers made the pledge on Monday during a massive Continuity Rally”held at the Muhammadu Buhari Square in Lokoja the State capital. Participants were drawn from all 21 Local Government Areas of the state.

Workers Cite Achievements as Reason for Endorsement
Addressing the gathering, representatives of the LG workers commended the Ododo administration for what they described as “people-centered policies” that are directly impacting communities.

They specifically highlighted progress in 5 key areas:
Infrastructure: Ongoing road projects and rehabilitation across LGAs
Education: Improved school facilities and support for teachers
Healthcare: Upgrading of primary health centers and access to medical care
Agriculture: Input support and empowerment programs for rural farmers
Empowerment: Youth and women initiatives aimed at reducing poverty

According to them, these interventions are “improving livelihoods and restoring hope” at the grassroots level.

“We Will Mobilise 100% for APC”
The workers unanimously pledged to mobilise massively for President Tinubu, Governor Ododo, and all APC candidates* in the 2027 elections.

They described the Tinubu/Ododo partnership as one that aligns with the yearnings of Kogi workers and citizens, vowing to take the message of “continuity and consolidation” to every ward and polling unit.

“We are not just pledging support. We are going back to our LGAs to ensure that APC records 100% victory in 2027. The people can see the difference,” one of the speakers said.

In his remarks, Governor Ododo thanked the LG workers for their show of solidarity and loyalty to the APC.

He urged them to remain united, focused, and committed to advancing the development agenda of the state.

This government will continue to prioritize workers’ welfare, grassroots development, and policies that touch the lives of ordinary Kogites,” the Governor said.

He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working in synergy with the Federal Government under President Tinubu’s *Renewed Hope Agenda* to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.

Significance of the Rally
The Continuity Rally comes weeks after the Governor charged political appointees to return to their constituencies for aggressive mobilisation ahead of 2027.

Political analysts say the endorsement by LG workers, who are critical to election logistics and grassroots mobilisation, is a major boost for the APC in Kogi ahead of the next general elections.

The event had in attendance LG Chairmen, NULGE leaders, political appointees, and party stakeholders from across the state.
