Onakpa Hails Kogi Head of Service On Doctorate Degree Conferment

The Secretary of Kogi State Christian Pilgrims Commission Dcn Simeon Onakpa JP (ph.D) has described the attainment of a doctorate degree in accountancy by the head of service in Kogi State, Pastor Elijah Evinemi JP as an excellent development and strategic in the history of Kogi State public service.
Onakpa, who’s the Secretary, Conference of States Pilgrimage Leaders and Managers in Nigeria made the statement while speaking with Holi Magik TV at the venue of the reception organized in honor of Pastor Evinemi in Lokoja yesterday 20th June 2025, to celebrate the conferment of doctorate degree in accountancy on him from the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka.
According to Onakpa, attaining this academic excellence is a major achievement and therefore congratulated Evinemi on this milestone in his career.
Onakpa noted that the attainment of a doctorate degree by a man who started from the scratch in the State’s civil service with an O’ Level certificate, and then growing through the ladder, crossing the T,s and dotting the I,s of excellence,rising to the peak of academic excellence by bagging a doctorate degree in accountancy is worth a resounding applause and it’s something that we all should be proud of.

It is my prayer that as you put on this crown of academic excellence, the Almighty God will see you through in every step of your life’s journey and reposition you better to continually contribute more meaningfully to the growth and development of Kogi State public service under your excellent leadership.
I want to also commend you for the innovation you have brought into the public service in Kogi State which is promoting and prioritizing excellence and expertise, thereby enabling speedy development in the State’s Public service.
I’m hopeful that this conferment of doctorate degree in accountancy will also spur you up to do much more for the people of the State, especially the public service which will rejig the public service for greater and higher performance.”
