Ward A in Lokoja Local Government Area has commissioned a new All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat aimed at bridging the communication gap between the government, party executives, and the people.

The event, coordinated by the Lokoja LGA APC Leader, Alfa Umar, attracted key stakeholders and prominent figures in Lokoja’s political space.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ward A Chairman, Shaibu Yakubu Adinoyi, said the office would build confidence and trust among residents by providing accurate information about government and party activities. The secretariat is located adjacent to the popular Lokongoma Market.

APC members in Ward A gathered in large numbers for the commissioning, describing the facility as a strategic step to strengthen party structure both during and beyond election periods.

Lokoja LGA APC Chairman, Idris Aloma, commended Adinoyi, popularly known as Chico, for his visionary leadership, while urging members yet to register on the APC online platform to do so.

A Lokoja State Assembly aspirant, Jimoh Fancy, also applauded the initiative and called for continued support for the ward leadership.

One of the executive members of the Ward A,, Emmanuel Gbenga Ojo, described the secretariat as the first of its kind since the ward’s creation, expressing optimism that it would enhance coordination and boost the party’s chances ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Women leaders, other aspirants, and key stakeholders also hailed the development, noting that it would serve as a unifying platform for members and party executives.

On the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, party members expressed confidence, citing their achievements as a strong foundation for victory at the polls.

In his remarks, Adinoyi stated that the secretariat would serve all polling units in Ward A and function as a hub for party activities.

“This secretariat will serve as a vital link between the government and the people, a place where individuals can walk in, ask questions, receive reliable information, and actively participate in party affairs.

“We intend to make this office a one-stop information hub, where data across the 100 polling units in Ward A can be easily accessed for planning and coordination.

“Our goal is to build trust and assurance, so people can engage freely without fear.

“This office belongs to all party faithful. Our doors will remain open—we will listen more than we speak and partner with the people,” he said.

He called on leaders to contribute ideas that would strengthen the party and also appealed for support in fully equipping the secretariat.
Adinoyi pledged to lead with sincerity and accountability, describing the office as a centre for progress and development aimed at closing the communication gap between the government and the people.

Speaking of the 2027 elections, he maintained that the performances of President Tinubu and Governor Ododo provide a strong basis for their re-election, describing the governor’s achievements as unprecedented.

Party supporters across Ward A also expressed readiness to deliver all polling units for the APC in the next general elections.
