PRESIDENT TINUBU EMERGES WINNER OF APC PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARIES IN KOGI
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in Kogi State.
Announcing the results at the party secretariat in Lokoja, the State Collation Officer and Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, said that after collating results from all 21 local government areas, President Tinubu polled a total of 197,370 votes to defeat his rival, Stanley Osifo, who scored zero votes.
According to the collation officer, a total of 197,370 party members were accredited, while the same number of votes were cast during the exercise.
Governor Ododo commended and thanked party faithful for turning out in large numbers, describing the process as peaceful, free, and fair across the state.
Declaring the result, Ododo stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, having scored the highest number of votes, is duly returned as the winner of the APC presidential primary in Kogi State.
The collation process was witnessed by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and party members across the state.
