CP DANTAWAYE PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO SECTOR COMMANDER, FRSC, STRENGTHENS COLLABORATION ON THIRD-PARTY INSURANCE POLICY ENFORCEMENT IN KOGI STATE

The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc has today Tuesday 11Th February, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kogi State S.C Samuel Oyedeji to strengthen collaboration on the Enforcement of mandatory Third-Party Insurance for all Vehicles across the State. The visit aimed at fostering synergy between the Nigeria Police Force and the Federal Road Safety Corps to enhance road safety and ensure compliance with the Insurance Policy.

The CP further emphasized on the importance of collaboration among Security Agencies, stating that effective partnership is crucial in ensuring road users comply with the Third-Party Insurance Policy. He highlighted the need for awareness and enforcement to ensure that accident victims receive necessary compensation through the Insurance scheme.

The CP also underscored the role of unity among Law Enforcement Agencies in achieving common goals, while reiterating his commitment to working closely with the FRSC and other Security Agencies to improve Road Safety and Law Enforcement in the State. He called on officers to prioritize professionalism and service delivery, urging them to strengthen community relations for better public trust.

In response, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Samuel Oyedeji welcomed CP Dantawaye and appreciated the ongoing collaboration between the two Agencies. He affirmed the FRSC’s commitment to enforcing the Third-Party Insurance Policy and ensuring that Road Safety measures are effectively implemented. He also acknowledged the support of the Nigeria Police in accident response and enforcement duties, emphasizing the need for continuous cooperation in intelligence sharing and law enforcement activities.

The visit marks a significant step in strengthening Inter-Agency collaboration, ensuring improved road safety management, and enhancing the implementation of government policies aimed at protecting motorists and accident victims.
