Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has congratulated the people of the state on the occasion of its 34th anniversary, describing the milestone as a moment for sober reflection and renewed hope.
In a message personally signed by the Governor, Ododo reflected on the state’s journey since its creation in 1991, highlighting significant progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and rural development.
“At 34, we stand at a defining threshold,” the Governor stated. “Roads are being built, schools remodeled, hospitals revitalized, and rural communities are beginning to feel the impact of good governance. We may not yet be where we desire to be, but we are certainly no longer where we used to be.”
Governor Ododo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a brighter future for Kogi State, where every child has access to quality education, healthcare is within reach of all, industries thrive, and agriculture guarantees food security and prosperity.
The Governor called on citizens to take pride in the state’s greatness, uphold peace, and believe in the collective destiny of the Confluence State. “As we celebrate 34 years of existence, let us renew our pledge to keep Kogi great. Together, we will strengthen our unity, deepen our progress, and hand over to future generations a state greater than the one we inherited,” he added.
Governor Ododo wished all citizens a Happy 34th Anniversary and reaffirmed his resolve to work tirelessly towards the greatness of Kogi State
