Oladele John Nihi, Founder of the OJN Foundation and Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo, on Youth and Student Matters, along side Princesses Nanahawa Director General, Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation has been honored with prestigious award by the Nigeria Post Newspaper Annual Public Lecture and Gold Awards.
Oladele John was confirred with the esteemed Change Maker and Inspiring Youth Leader Award, while Princesses Nana Hawa Yusuf was honored with Broadcasting Station award at this year’s The Nigerian Post Newspaper, Kogi @ 34 Public Lecture and award program.
The recognition award is a testament to their tireless efforts in empowering, inspiring, and mobilizing young people to create positive change in their communities and promoting professionalism in journalism
While responding Oladele John, appreciate Mike Abu for his consistent in promoting the state through balance reportage and the annual public lectures that create developmental narratives for paradigm shift in governance of Kogi state.
Dele Nihi urge electronic Media practitioners to always verify details in stories before publications.
“Despite the freedom of information, it also have it limitations, hearing from parties involved will give balance to the story”. He noted.
Nana Hawa on her side commended Mike Abu for the great effort congratulates Nigeria Post Newspaper for the integrity, objectivity, and professionalism in put into journalism.
She charged Journalist to focus on news worthy events that drives the interest of audience and to also indulge investigative reporting rather than surface stories.
