The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo, has praised the retirement of Mr. Ebenezer Adurodija, a staff member in the Ministry.
Fanwo described Adurodija as a brilliant and selfless individual who has been a significant asset to both the ministry and the state.
According to the commissioner, Adurodija’s dedication and loyalty will be greatly missed. “He is very productive. I have not seen any civil servants who are so loyal, and dedicated to the service of this state like Adurodija. I don’t even know how to describe him, but you know he’s a very big loss to the service,” Fanwo said.
Fanwo added that Adurodija’s contributions to the Ministry of Information and Communication have been notable, with the commissioner emphasizing his dynamic and hardworking nature.
“He has been in charge of the state website, securing and monitoring it. This website has brought billions of Naira to the state”.
During his opening address the Commissioner announced the new appointment given to the outgoing Permanent Secretary as the ministry Technical Adviser, which has been approved by the Kogi state Governor.
Adurodija appreciated Governor Usman Ododo for giving him the privilege to serve again after his retirement. He promises to offer his best as he has always done.
Retiring Permanent Secretary Ebenezer Adurodija also expressed gratitude to his colleagues for the celebration in his honor.
Adurodija urged serving civil servants to do their job without expecting rewards, attributing his achievements to a sense of duty.
“Do things for their inherent value, not for external validation.”
He advises on continuous learning which is crucial, especially for communicators. He urge them to cultivate reading is a daily habit, regardless of schedule.
