Kogi State Government Mourns Former Deputy Governor, Chief Patrick Adaba
The Kogi State Government has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Patrick Adaba, a former Deputy Governor of the state, who died at the age of 79.
In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the government described Chief Adaba as a statesman who played a significant role in the development of Kogi State. He served as Deputy Governor to the late Prince Abubakar Audu, demonstrating integrity, patriotism, and a strong commitment to governance.
“His passing is not only a loss to his family, the Ebira nation, and his political associates but also to the entire state and the nation at large,” the statement read. “We will forever remember his selfless service, his passion for the people, and the legacy he leaves behind.”
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo extended his condolences to the Adaba family and the people of Kogi State, acknowledging Chief Adaba’s dedication to the state’s progress both in and out of office. The late statesman was frequently consulted for his wealth of experience in governance.
The government prayed for the repose of his soul and the strength for his family to bear the loss, emphasizing that his contributions would continue to inspire future generations.
