In a press statement signed and made public by the Civil Defence PRO,
Lagos State Command.
SC Oluwaseun Abolurin, the aforementioned suspects were arrested on Monday, 23rd December, 2024, right in the premises of the company where they work in Ajah. The arrested suspects, during interrogation revealed that they wouldn’t have taken the jobs if they knew that the company was not licensed and doesn’t comply with laid down rules and procedures of government in establishing a private security company.

The Command also discovered that the so called, private security companies involved, in quackery, do so in a bid to use unsuspecting Nigerians, who are in serious need of jobs, to secure better contracts with their clienteles and pay peanuts to the guards, who just want to survive by all means and left without a choice.

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro has ordered a thorough investigation into the matter.

The Lagos State Commandant also advised, well to do organizations to be weary of contracting their private security jobs to unverified and unlicensed companies, who may further destroy their hard earned reputations. He however, seized the arrest to warn all other unrepentant players, who are involved, in such unprofessional act of quackery to desist or face the full wrath of the law, when apprehended in due course.
