RETSO DG CHARGES KOGI MEMBERS ON COMMITMENT TO TINUBU’S REELECTION MISSION

The Director General of the Remi Tinubu Support Organisation (RETSO), Yusi Buba, has charged Executives of the Kogi State chapter to remain committed to enlightening eligible voters on the mission and vision of the association, which stands firmly in support of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The DG made the charge during a meeting with the Executive members in Glasshouse, Government House, Lokoja.

In his remarks, the DG emphasized the need to prioritize service to the people over personal gains, noting that RETSO recognizes and rewards sincerity and dedication.

“RETSO is not here to share money, but I assure you that your efforts will not be in vain. It is not in our character to let people work without reward. This is no longer about ‘bamboo work, monkey dey chop.’ We have a reward system that will favor everyone,” he stated.

Yusi Buba also commended the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu, for her motherly role and exemplary leadership style in piloting the affairs of RETSO across Nigeria.
He described her as a pillar of strength and a unifying figure whose guidance continues to inspire members nationwide.

The DG further highlighted the achievements of President Tinubu’s administration across various sectors, especially in youth empowerment and economic reforms.

“Let us work together so that when two or three members are selected from among you to the national level, they will be able to support others. That is my prayer, and it shall come to pass,” he said

The DG also used the occasion to pass a vote of confidence on the Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, commending his performance and describing him as a youthful governor who has done remarkably well. He called on members to support Ododo’s reelection bid to consolidate his achievements.

The State Coordinator of RETSO, Ambassador Memunat Hasan Ahmed, appreciated the DG and his entourage for the visit. She assured him of active engagement with executives across the 21 local government areas to mobilize grassroots support for both President Tinubu and Governor Ododo.

“We must allow President Tinubu to complete his two terms of eight years so that he can fully deliver an improved Nigeria we can all be proud of. The President has done a lot in terms of security — attacks and banditry have reduced drastically compared to the previous administration,” Memunat said.

Representatives from the three senatorial districts also pledged to return to their communities and spread the RETSO message, expressing confidence in the group’s reward system.

“With what we have heard from the DG today, we are confident that our efforts will be appreciated. We want President Tinubu and Governor Ododo to complete two terms so that their policies and projects can be fully realized,” they stated.

The excited DG appointed a patron of the group, the Government House Director of Protocol, Emmanuel Dogwo, and he would be officially decorated in no distant time.

The physical meeting with the DG was primarily to engage with the executive members of the support group in Kogi State. Plans are underway to host a formal event to welcome the State Governor, the First Lady, APC executives, and supporters from across the 21 local government areas.
