APC RETAINS NENTAWE, BASIRU, 20 OTHERS, DROPS THREE NWC MEMBERS
Delegates at the 8th National Convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have elected new leaders to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
The new leaders emerged late on Friday at Eagle Square, Abuja, through a consensus mode.
All but three of the immediate past NWC members were selected for the new team.
They are Deputy National Chairman (South), Emma Eneukwu, the Deputy National Organising Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru and the Financial Secretary, Bashir Gumel.
The newly elected officers took the oath of office with the Vice President Kashim Shettima superintending the solemn ceremony.

In his acceptance speech, the National Chairman, Prof Nentawe promised not to disappoint the party in their election.

Deputy National Officers, Six National Ex officio officers and Zonal officers elected at the six zonal congresses last Wednesday were also inaugurated with the NWC.
Meanwhile, 8,453 delegates converged in Abuja for the Congress exercise
