The meeting brought together prominent Ebira leaders, community stakeholders, youth representatives, women groups, professionals, business owners, and members of the Ebira Community Association across the 16 Local Government Areas of Ekiti State. It provided a platform for meaningful dialogue, community development discussions, and the strengthening of longstanding relationships.

During the engagement, stakeholders unanimously declared their support for the re-election bid of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, citing his achievements in governance, infrastructure, economic growth, security, and inclusive leadership. They noted that his administration has remained people-centered and free from ethnic, religious, or political bias.

The Ebira community commended the Governor for fostering an inclusive environment where residents, regardless of ethnic background, have equal opportunities to contribute to the state’s development. They observed that under his leadership, the Ebira people have enjoyed increased recognition, inclusion, and participation in governance.
Stakeholders highlighted key initiatives of the Oyebanji administration that have positively impacted both indigenes and residents from diverse ethnic backgrounds.

These include road construction and rehabilitation projects, investments in education and healthcare, support for small and medium-scale enterprises, youth empowerment programmes, agricultural development, and improved security across the state.

Community leaders also praised the Governor’s commitment to grassroots development and his open-door policy, which ensures that the concerns of various communities are heard and addressed. They emphasized that this inclusive approach has strengthened unity, peaceful coexistence, and social harmony in Ekiti State.

The engagement further provided an avenue to discuss issues affecting the Ebira community and explore ways to deepen collaboration with the state government. Participants stressed the need for sustained engagement, youth development, educational opportunities, and economic empowerment programmes.

Speaking at the event, the Special Assistant on Ethnic Affairs (Ebira) to the Governor of Ekiti State, Hon.
