The management staff of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State has shown solidarity with staff member Emmanuel Oritogun by gifting him a cow to support his wedding preparations.
Presenting the gift today in Lokoja, the SGS, Mrs Ayoade Folashade, Ph.D., said the gesture was part of the management’s support towards Emmanuel’s wedding preparations.
Mrs Folashade described Emmanuel as a responsible, hardworking young man, deserving of support as he embarks on married life.
“We know Emmanuel to be hardworking and diligent, and now that he is ready to take a wife, the management deems it necessary to celebrate and support him,” she said.
She prayed for God’s blessings on the union and assured Emmanuel that the management would attend the wedding to celebrate with him.
In his response, Emmanuel Oritogun appreciated the SGS and management staff for their support, promising not to take the gesture for granted.
He said the SGS is like a mother to him, and through her inspiration, he gained the courage to embark on this lifetime journey of settling down maritally.
“I took this bold step, and it wasn’t easy,” he said. “I was afraid to announce my marriage, but she encouraged me. I won’t take this good gesture for granted. Thank you, and God bless ma.”
