A MESSAGE OF APPRECIATION TO PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GCFR
Your Excellency,
On behalf of the Government and good people of Kogi State, I wish to express my profound gratitude to you for the recent appointments of two illustrious sons of our state Major General Waidi Shaibu as Chief of Army Staff, and Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan (SAN) as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Your Excellency, this singular act of trust and recognition speaks volume about your commitment to merit, national inclusion, and purposeful leadership. You have once again demonstrated that under your watch, competence and character will always take precedence over every other consideration.
Major General Waidi Shaibu is a tested officer and a fine gentleman whose military career reflects courage, discipline, and deep patriotism. His vast operational experience and strategic insight make him a perfect fit to lead our armed forces at this crucial time. Nigerians can be rest assured that with him at the helm, the Nigerian Army will continue to stand firm in defending our nation’s sovereignty and unity.
Likewise, Professor Joash Amupitan (SAN) embodies the finest ideals of intellect, integrity, and impartiality. His distinguished record as a scholar, legal luminary, and advocate for justice makes him eminently qualified to guide INEC towards deeper institutional credibility and public confidence.
Mr. President, your decision to entrust such sensitive and strategic positions to these men of proven capacity and unblemished character fills us, as Kogites, with immense pride and renewed faith in your leadership. You have, through this gesture, once again proven that excellence knows no boundary and that every part of this nation has a place in your Renewed Hope agenda.
