2027 GENERAL ELECTIONS IN FOCUS; WHY YOU NEED YOUR PERMANENT VOTER’S CARD (PVC)
An MLC TV Civic Awareness Message
Your Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) is more than a card. It is one of the important tools that enables you to participate in Nigeria’s democratic process.
As citizens, we have a responsibility to take an active interest in who governs us and how our communities, states and country are administered.
YOUR PVC GIVES YOU A VOICE
With your voter registration and valid voting credentials, you can participate in elections and choose the candidate you believe deserves your support.
WHY SHOULD YOU GET YOUR PVC?
1. To exercise your democratic right
Voting gives you the opportunity to participate directly in choosing your representatives.

2. To have a say in governance
Decisions made by elected leaders affect education, healthcare, security, roads, employment, business and the economy. Your participation matters.
3. To choose leaders based on your judgment
Your vote gives you the power to support candidates based on their character, competence, policies, experience and track record.
4. To promote accountability
Active citizens are better positioned to demand responsible leadership and accountability from elected representatives.
5. Because every vote matters
Elections are determined by individual votes. Never assume that your vote is insignificant.
6. To strengthen democracy
Democracy becomes stronger when citizens participate responsibly and peacefully in the electoral process.
DON’T SELL YOUR VOTE
Your vote is your voice. Do not allow temporary gifts or financial inducements to determine your choice of leadership. Examine the candidates, understand their programmes and make an informed decision.
And remember: voting is a right, not a reason for violence.
As the 2027 elections approach, MLC TV encourages every eligible citizen to stay informed, comply with official electoral requirements and participate peacefully in the democratic process.
YOUR PVC. YOUR VOICE. YOUR CHOICE.
MLC TV — Reaching everywhere, informing everyone.
This message is for civic education and encourages peaceful, informed and lawful participation in Nigeria’s electoral process.
