ALMARUF SALMONU RALLIES SUPPORT FOR TINUBU AND ODODO, DECLARES SECOND TERM ‘UNSTOPPABLE’”
Kogi-born business magnate and State House of Assembly aspirant, Almaruf Salmonu, has joined thousands of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in endorsing the candidatures of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for their second term in office.
Salmonu, whose philanthropic gestures have earned him overwhelming support across Yagba East State Constituency and Kogi State at large, commended President Tinubu’s leadership style, noting that Nigeria has witnessed significant improvements in social welfare and infrastructural development under his administration. He emphasized that these achievements are evident across all states through the efforts of their governors.
Speaking at the Muhammadu Buhari Square, Lokoja where thousands of party faithful gathered, Salmonu described the massive turnout as a clear endorsement of the transformative achievements recorded over the last three years. According to him, the current administration has changed the national narrative by promoting a conducive environment for businesses to thrive, providing student loans to reduce school dropouts, strengthening the economy by blocking financial leakages, increasing state allocations, and addressing security challenges across the country.
“In Kogi State, Governor Ododo is performing exceptionally well, and the people can testify to this,” Salmonu said.
“Governor Ododo is a visionary leader who has continued to fulfill his campaign promises. He is paying salaries and pensions promptly, awarding scholarships, and implementing free education. He is constructing roads across the state, upgrading hospitals, and building and renovating classrooms to provide conducive learning environments, as well as establishing more healthcare centres. These are only a few of his achievements. His re-election is unstoppable, and I am a hundred per cent in support of his mandate. This is one of the reasons I have decided to join the race, by God’s grace, to contribute my quota to the development of our state.”
Salmonu used the opportunity to call on all party members to continue spreading the message of progress and support for the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo (GAUO)
He further assured the people of Yagba East Constituency that if given the mandate as the APC flagbearer, he would provide effective representation, prioritizing their welfare, development, and economic empowerment.
