NEW COMMISSIONER PLEDGES CLOSER COLLABORATION FOR EFFECTIVE COMMUNITY POLICING

The new Commissioner of Police has pledged to work closely with all security agencies and community members to make community policing more effective and ensure the continued safety of lives and livelihoods across the state.
CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi stated that the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) has given him a clear mandate to bring criminal activities to a halt in every part of the state.
He expressed appreciation to the state governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, for providing the necessary support and logistics to enable the police command deliver on its mandate.
As the yuletide season approaches, CP Kankarofi assured residents that adequate security measures have been put in place to guarantee a peaceful and hitch-free celebration for all citizens.
The new Commissioner, Naziru Bello Kankarofi, hails from Kano Municipal Local Government Area of Kano State. He holds degrees in Economics and Political Science, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), a Barrister-at-Law (B.L.), and a Master of Laws (LL.M.).
CP Kankarofi was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on June 10, 1994, as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (C/ASP) and trained at the Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.
He is assuming office as the Commissioner of Police for the state command for the first time.
